The “International Master of Science in Fire Safety Engineering" (IMFSE) is a two-year educational programme in the Erasmus Mundus framework. This master course is commonly organized by
- Ghent University (Belgium)
- Lund University (Sweden)
- University of Edinburgh (UK).
REQUIREMENTS:
A Bachelors degree or recognized equivalent degree from an accredited institution (minimum three-year full-time study) in civil/structural/mechanical/electrical/chemical/industrial engineering, material sciences, chemistry, physics, applied physics, architecture, urbanism and spatial planning or a related discipline. Students in their final year of such a Bachelor programme will however also be considered .Proficiency in the English language is a basic requirement. All applicants must therefore provide one of the following certificates a recent (maximum two-year old) TOEFL certificate with a minimum score of 92 (internet-based ),with at least 21 in listening and writing,22 in reading and 23 in speaking. The institution code for Ghent University is 2643;or a recent (maximum two years old) test report form (TRF) from IELTS, with a minimum score of 6.5 (with 6.0 in each section); or recent (maximum two years old) Cambridge-ESOL : Certificate in advanced English (CAE) Grade A, with a minimum grade of weak in listening, speaking, reading and writing.
